We have high-performance requirements and need to know the maximum IOPS that VAST Data
can deliver. What are the performance limits of the platform?
The maximum IOPS for VAST Data’s platform depends on various factors. I would recommend you contact sales for a custom solution that will fit your usecase.
You can get as much performance as required, given the scalable, dissagregated architecture VAST offers. IOPS usually depends on the number of CNodes you have available in your cluster: the more the better. E.g. if you have a 2x2 VAST cluster and you want to provide more iops, you can simply add a Cbox to get a 3x2 cluster with almost 50% additional performance.
Exactly how many IOPS you can get, that depends very much on the HW configuration you are implementing, which may vary a lot depending on the use case. Jonas’ suggestion to contact sales at VAST is definitely a good idea, as they will be able to advise on the proper hw setup for your particular use case.
