If you’ve been keeping an eye on our
Official VAST Data Labs User Guide
, you will have seen that we’ve been hard at work creating hands-on labs that are focused on our APIs. These examples and labs will take you from zero-to-hero when it comes to using our vastpy and vastdb Python SDKs. You can use them to automate tasks, gather multiple points of data and show the results in a dashboard, create deep queries to the VAST Database and much more.
The VAST Data Code Labs follow a fictional space technology company called Orbital Dynamics, who are managing tons of incoming satellite data and their results. The labs are read-only (for now), and in our GitHub repo there’s also a workshop outline, participant guide and much more that can help guide you through the examples and labs. Detailed documentation and the Orbital Dynamics stories are inside each lab folder, make sure to check them out too!
To get started, head over to the
Official VAST Data Labs User Guide
and let us know if anything’s missing, not working, or if there are Orbital Dynamics scenarios you would love to see.
Happy coding!
