Microsoft has pledged to redo their water cooling from their data centers:
At SuperComputing last year I saw a really interesting solution for cooling that didn’t involve water cooling, but rather a sort of refrigerant. It’s used in a two-phase cooling setup, similar to what can be seen here:
I’m really interested in seeing how this will lower the total energy use for our current and future data centers, super interesting!
