Help with VASTDATA REST API for use with Atempo Miria Migration tool

Hi All!

We are migrating from Qumulo NAS to VastData & would like to use FASTSCAN feature in Atempo that uses snapshot capability of the source & target NAS , to spot the delta files quickly for faster resync job execution.

As Atempo is an exteral application & is calling the REST API services of VAST, it seems there could be a specific port via which VAST listens to these external requests to it’s REST API endpoint, what is that port number? If there is any.

We already tested API communication with just FQDNofVMS , https://FQDNofVMS & https://FQDNofVMS/api , and none of them passed the connectivity test.

Note: No firewall beween Atempo Miria host & Target VAST platform.

Hi @njana thanks for posting, have you had a chance to review our KBs? I see the default port listed as 443 unless its been changed.

Also, recommend to follow up with Atempo for migration guidelines.
